Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s natural to have questions. Here are answers to some of the most common concerns my clients have. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out.

  • If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with emotions, relationships, or life transitions, therapy can help. You don’t have to wait until things are unmanageable, therapy is for anyone who wants support, growth, or clarity.

  • In our first session, we’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any concerns or questions you have. It’s a chance to get to know each other and start building a space that feels safe and supportive.

  • Sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that you can access on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. After scheduling an appointment, you’ll receive a link to click at the time of your session, no downloads or complicated setup required.

The process is much like meeting in person: we’ll talk face-to-face on video, explore your concerns, and work toward your goals using evidence-based approaches. Many clients find online therapy just as effective as in-office sessions, with the added benefits of flexibility, convenience, and eliminating travel time. All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.

  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. If you’re interested in longer or shorter sessions, we can discuss what’s best for your needs.

  • My standard rate is $150 per session. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need.

  • I am in-network with most major commercial plans such as: Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NJ, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United HealthCare, UMR, Clover, and Oxford. I am also a participating provider in several Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

  • I accept credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

  • If you do not attend your scheduled session and have not contacted your provider in advance (24 hours notice), the session will be considered a no-show. No-shows will be charged the full session fee.
