Meet Noemi

Noemi Marte, MS, LAC
Licensed Associate Counselor | New Jersey

I'm Noemi Marte, MS, LAC, a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I bring a unique blend of clinical training, professional experience, and life perspective to my work, informed by more than two decades in corporate and technology environments, including product management roles at Fortune 500 companies and start-ups.

I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with their inner strengths. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted. My goal is to provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, make sense of their experiences, and work toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and emotional well-being.

WHO I HELP

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also support women navigating motherhood, postpartum changes, and shifts in identity, as well as neurodivergent individuals seeking greater self-understanding, healthier relationships, and strategies that align with their individual needs.

  • You may be the strong one, the person others depend on, while quietly managing your own stress, hurt, uncertainty, or exhaustion.

Perhaps you appear capable and successful on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or misunderstood internally.

I create a nonjudgmental space for these experiences and help clients understand how past experiences, relationships, and expectations may shape their present lives.

Counseling Philosophy

I believe people deserve a space where they can show up as they are, speak honestly about their experiences, and feel respected without fear of judgment. I recognize that many coping strategies and protective patterns develop in response to life experiences. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, clients can begin to understand these patterns, reconnect with their needs, and explore new ways of moving forward.

Counseling Approach

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring treatment to each client's experiences, values, strengths, and goals. I take a whole-person perspective, recognizing the connections between thoughts, emotions, physical well-being, relationships, environments, and past experiences.

In Therapy

In therapy, I help clients explore patterns that may no longer serve them, develop practical coping strategies, strengthen communication and relationship skills, and cultivate greater self-compassion and confidence. I believe therapy is not about telling people who they should be or making decisions for them. Instead, it is about creating space for honest reflection, identifying personal strengths, and supporting clients as they discover what meaningful change looks like for them.

Why I Do This Work

At the heart of my work is a belief in every person's capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they process difficult experiences, reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and build lives that feel more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

My hope is to help clients feel less alone in their struggles, more connected to their inner strengths, and better equipped to create meaningful, lasting change.

My Professional Background

Before entering the mental health field, I spent more than two decades working in business and information technology. My experience navigating professional growth, organizational change, and competing responsibilities informs my understanding of the pressures associated with work, family, caregiving, and the expectations people place on themselves. I bring this broader perspective to my clinical work while remaining attentive to each client's unique circumstances and needs.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

I welcome clients who are ready to explore what they have been carrying and what they need moving forward. I invite you to begin with a conversation about your experiences, concerns, and hopes for therapy, creating an opportunity to explore how I may be able to support you on your journey.
